- Job Duties:
- ***RFI Response*** To dig and fill trenches, workers will use shovels, picks, pneumatic tampers, and rakes. The dimensions of these trenches will be no larger than 5’ x 5’, 3.5’ (L x W x H). The purpose for these trenches is to find previously installed utilities, to install utilities, or to expose pipes or valves for replacement or expansion. ***Original F.a.2*** Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites: removal of damaged/broken asphalt and concrete, hand digging. Excavate, backfill, and grade ditches, and lay and join pipe for water and sewer services. Tasks may include any combination of the following: shoveling, raking, wrenching, sawing, and pipe material handling. Support skilled asphalt and concrete workers in smoothing or finishing freshly poured asphalt, cement or concrete, using cement/asphalt finishing tools. Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, rakes or hand tools. Entry level, requires supervision.

- Requires six months of construction related experience. Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Employer-paid drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers prior to commencing work and post-hire at random and post-accident. Post-hire background check required of foreign and domestic workers. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
