Job Duties:
Operate powered equipment such as mowers, tractors, chain-saws, and electric clippers. Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge and brush trimmers. Mow and edge/trim lawns, using power mowers and edgers. Care for established lawns by weeding, trimming, and edging around flower beds, walks, and walls. Water lawns, trees, and plants, using portable sprinkler systems hoses, or watering cans. Lay sod. Haul or spread topsoil, and spread straw over seeded soil to hold soil in place. Trim and pick flowers, and clean flowerbeds. Decorate gardens with stones and plants. Rake, mulch, and compost leaves. Prune and trim shrubs and hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain-saws on the ground. Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, and shrubs, and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools.

No education or experience required. Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Requires physical stamina. Work outdoors, in extreme temperatures, and in adverse weather. Saturday work required, when necessary. Post-hire drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers upon suspicion of use. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
