- Job Duties:
- Dig trenches for irrigation, install irrigation systems, and service systems. Dig holes with shovels about 8 deep and 12 round. The trenches are mostly 4 wide and 8 deep and 4 long is a typical trench which they lay 1 poly pipe but mostly flexible pipe to feed sprinkler heads. In approximately 5% of the jobs, workers may need to dig deeper to put in a PVC sleeve. It is still dug with a shovel. The trench may be 12 wide and 18 inches deep and 3 feet long
