Job Duties:

This person’s primary responsibility will be to assist the classroom Infant / Toddler teacher in creating a supportive and stimulating setting that promotes the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of infants and toddlers in our care. Responsibilities include the following: Providing for the basic needs of children; Maintaining a safe play environment and monitoring the children during daily activities; Assist in preparing and organizing toys and materials and setting up activity areas; Dressing children and changing diapers, assisting with toilet habits and potty training; Helping with the general housekeeping duties such as laundry, dish washing, sweeping, and taking out trash/recycling; Cleaning and sanitizing toys, equipment, and contact surfaces (i.e. diaper changing mat); Assist in providing food and serving meals to the children including the preparation of bottles, formula, and/or breastmilk for infants; Support the children's emotional and social development through appropriate play and positive reinforcement; Assisting the classroom teacher with any other duties related to the care and education of the children.
