***RFI Response*** In the overall process of setting up a manufactured home or tearing it down, the job title is called, construction. Then under the umbrella of construction, here is what the job entails. Enrique specializes in park models, single wide’s, double wide’s and triple wide manufactured homes. I'm first going to describe the beginning process of set up. When the manufactured home is delivered to either a mobile home park or a private land that the customer purchased. It's our job to set up the manufactured home, pass all the inspections, so the customer can live in there. We are to remove all wood, all plastic, axels, and wheels from the home first. So we can start to set it up. The definition of set up in this job is, to level out the home. We then designate which crew member will do what part. This is a very physical labor job. So the more man power that we have, the easier it is to be able to finish the job. We have trenches to dig, so we can hook up any and all utilities. We have electrical to hook up from the pedestal to run the wire to the home. We have a gas line to install from the gas meter to the home. We have water lines to install from the water meter to the home. If we are installing a double or triple wide manufactured home, we have to put the home together. We use pieces of trim, as well as our nail guns. We have trim to put up inside the home, around the wood frame and all doors. We have stairs to build, if that's what it takes to pass inspection. We also do skirting installation around the entire mobile home. We contract out for air conditioning installation as well as awnings. Alfonzo, Pablo, Ramiro and Ramon will be instructed along side me, and have different jobs listed above to do every day to work. As for the tear down part of a manufactured home process, it is as follows. This is generally done when a customer wishes to move their home to a different location, or take off a older home that’s on their property and replace it. The first thing we do is, take off the skirting, awnings, and disconnect all utilities. Then we have to unlug the mobile home, cut the drywall to take a double wide or triple wide apart, then take wood and plastic to seal each interior center piece, then put rollers and axels underneath the manufactured home to raise it up, to put axels tires and the hedges on to get it ready to transport. ***Original F.a.2*** Assists in the installation of manufactured homes. Takes direction from skilled tradesperson to prepare and cleanup worksites. Wrenches, hammers, shovels and other hand tools used. All tools will be provided by the employer.
