- Job Duties:
- DUTIES: operate push or riding lawnmower; spread fertilizer, plant food, mulch, and other materials around plants; remove weeds and dead plants; prune overgrown limbs and leaves; operate string trimmer and edger to remove overgrowth and keep outdoor area tidy; use leaf blower to clear walkways and pedestrian areas after lawn maintenance; maintain the existing landscaping design and ensure plant survival; plant new flowers, bushes, plants, and decorative shrubs; rake fallen leaves and remove debris; keep pedestrian and common areas clear of snow and ice; remove tree limbs, overgrowth, and other hazards; properly store and handle all equipment, tools, sprinklers, etc.; help layout and build custom landscapes per company specifications; set up tools and materials to prepare each day, including shovel work, operating a hand-held landscape rake to clean rocks from soil and prep for sod or mulch; digging holes for and planting trees and shrubs, moving soil and mulch; helping excavate small trenches for sprinkler pipes (approx. 6” wide and 18” deep), pulling, cutting, and gluing PVC sprinkler pipe, installing sprinkler lines, heads, and valves; cleaning job site, assisting in quality control to make sure irrigation and plantings are done right. TOOLS would include shovels, post-hole diggers, screwdrivers, hammers, saws, as well as assisting senior team members with motorized machinery such as Skidsteer and a Ditch Witch; and help maintain and repair equipment.
