Job Duties:
Load and unload building materials, machinery, or tools, and distribute to appropriate locations according to project plans or specifications. Clean up rubble, debris, and other waste materials. Using a shovel or spade, assist foreman and heavy equipment operators to dig ditches or trenches to a width of 2'-15' and depth of 1’-25’ for the installation of piping and/or utility lines. Will also backfill excavations, compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes. Erect or dismantle scaffolding and set braces to support the side of excavations. Assist in maintaining a proper supply of concrete so that operations remain constant. As needed, assist with pouring, grading, distributing, and smoothing concrete. Perform basic maintenance to lubricate, clean, or repair machinery, equipment, or tools. Follow established safety procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain a safe and clean environment.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employees must pass a drug screening and physical ability test before hire to ensure ability to safely perform the listed job duties.
