Job Duties:
The Line Cooks are in charge of prepping food and plating dishes according to a restaurant' s menu specifications. Line Cooks are assigned a specific place in the line , such as the grill or vegetable prep station. Duties include preparing food and maintaining sanitation. In this position, your principal goal will be to prepare high-quality meals that meet the chefs standards. The candidate will learn to be responsible for setting up the prep station, stocking inventory, and maintaining sanitation standards. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess good communication and multi-tasking skills. Ultimately, you will play an essential role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and restaurant success. Ensure the preparation station and kitchen are set up and stocked. Prepare simple components of each dish on the menu by chopping vegetables, cutting meat/fish and preparing sauces. Report to the chef and follow instructions. Make sure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards as learned. Clean prep areas and take care of leftovers. Stock inventory and supplies. Cook menu items with the support of the kitchen manager/chef. Aptitude for multi-tasking. Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team. Applicant must have open availability to work 40 hours per week, Sunday through Saturday, at the restaurant's physical location.
