- Job Duties:
- Mow, cut, water, edge lawns using mowers, edgers, weed eaters, blowers and varying gardening hand tools: rake and blow leaves; dig holes and trenches with shovels with a max depth/width of 3ft to plant; remove old trees and shrubs, dispose of debris and install new trees, shrubs and plants; pull/chop weeds; prune/shape shrubs; haul and spread topsoil and mulch. Spread grass seed and lay sod. Involves loading and unloading tools and supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Involves working outdoors in all types of weather. Involves extensive standing, sitting or walking. Involves frequent stooping or bending. Involves repetitive movements. Possibility of performance based raise, bonus, overtime and Saturdays as required. Transportation provided to multiple worksites from central location in Staten Island, NY. 15 minutes of unpaid breaks throughout the day.
