- Job Duties:
- Will provide training to perform a combination of beverage filling and packaging machine operation duties that include: Preparing filling and packaging machines for operation and starting machines by engaging controls at beginning of the shift. Observe and adjust machine operation throughout shifts to ensure efficient performance and quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards. Supply and replenish machines with filling and packaging materials monitor the production line to identify and report to the Production Supervisor any problems such as pileups, jams, and other visible malfunctions. Remove finished packaged items from the machine and separate rejected items. Perform periodic spot checks of filled and packaged products to ensure adherence to specifications. Complete inspection worksheets to document spot-check outcomes and submit them to the Production Supervisor for review. Comply with applicable food and industrial health and safety regulations and manufacturing practices and guidelines. Maintain work area clean and free of loose items and debris to avoid accidents. Clean the work area and remove and transport recyclable waste to the designated area at the end of each shift. Will be required to work one of four shift schedules: Sunday-Wednesday 6 AM-6 PM, Sunday-Wednesday 6 PM-6 AM, Wednesday-Saturday 6 AM-6 PM, or Wednesday-Saturday 6 PM-6 AM; 48 hours per week, 4 days per week. Additional overtime may be available. The first 40 hours in each week will be paid at the regular wage rate; any time worked exceeding 40 hours per week will be paid at the overtime rate. Will be required to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
