- Job Duties:
- As a landscaper, workers will perform landscape maintenance duties using hand and power tools or equipment such as lawn mowers, edgers, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, and backpack blowers. Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: mowing, edging, weed eating, trimming, and blowing grass and leaves. One month of on- the-job training is provided. Workers will water lawns, trees, or plants, using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans. Workers will also follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, sow grass, or plant flowers or foliage.
