Job Duties:

Workers will perform lawn maintenance and commercial landscape installation tasks such as planting trees, shrubs and perennials. Workers will also install mulching, river rock, landscape fabric, landscaping edging (black plastic edging, steel edging, bullet edging, etc.) Workers will use hand tools such as rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and picks. Will install sod grass by preparing soil and laying sod or hydro seeds on lawns. Workers will also assist in installing erosion control matting, retaining walls, and concrete pavers. Operate powered equipment such as mowers, weed eaters, saws for hardscape material cutting, and mini skid steers and tractors to plant trees, install retaining walls, and prep areas for rock/mulch installation. Workers will also perform winterization tasks such as winter cutbacks on perennials and plants in order to properly prepare lawn or landscape for winter weather and new growth in the Spring. Maintain irrigation systems, including winterizing the systems before temperatures drop below freezing to prevent damage. May occasionally work Saturdays.
