- Job Duties:
- - Sort and load articles into washers or direct other workers to perform loading - Start washers, driers and turn valves or levers to regulate machine processes and the volume of soap, detergent, water, bleach, and other additives - Operate driers or direct their operation. - Remove items from washers or direct other workers to do so - Sort and count articles removed from dryers, and fold, wrap in plastic according to requirements - Use color stickers to identify size of the clean items - Record inventory - Alert the manager when machines are in need of professional repair - Sort articles before cleaning, separating them by fabric, color, cleaning technique or dirt content for best results
