Job Duties:

The Welding techniques will be MIG and TIG welding processes. Welding equipment to be used will be, but not limited to: MIG welding gloves, helmet, MIG Welding pliers, Welding magnets, and MIG Gun, chipping hammer and metal brush. The Repairs Equipment will be: Builds up worn or defective surfaces, use burning equipment such as MIG gun, to dismantle and to cut material to size and shape. ***Original F.a.2*** Welding components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. Adhere to safety procedures and process. Examining work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications. Welding separately or in combination, using aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, and/or other alloys. Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job. Grind, cut, buff, or bend edges of workpieces to be joined to ensure snug fit, using power grinders and hand tools. Repairs equipment by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment. Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded. Sets up, assembles, and tacks weld parts. Builds up worn or defective surfaces. Hammer out bulges or bends in metal workpieces.
