The Field Service Technician is responsible for fueling, lubing, and maintaining all vehicles and highway construction equipment such as pick-up trucks, heavy tractor-trailer combinations, trucks with GVWR over 26,001 pounds, loaders, blades, generators, tractors, dozers, scrapers, rollers, and all other machinery and equipment on the project. Daily functions include oil changes, lubing, and greasing, all machinery and equipment, and inspecting all machinery and equipment to ensure fully functional. This will often require he engage the engines and drive or operate the machinery or equipment or vehicle to ensure it is operating properly, is safe, and fully functional for the work ahead. Types of commercial motor vehicles the worker will operate in conjunction with the job duties: • pick-up trucks • heavy tractor-trailer combinations • trucks with GVWR over 26,001 pounds • loaders • blades • tampers • generators • tractors • dozers • scrapers • rollers • all other machinery and equipment as required at the project worksite, which may include, from time to time, servicing trailers or tankers with Hazardous materials. The Field Service Technician is responsible for fueling, lubing, and maintaining equipment. This position is expected to operate a commercial motor vehicle in order to service the equipment. Oil changes, change all filters, and take SOS samples on pickups, trucks, loaders, blades, generators, tractors, and all other equipment on the project. Must be able to perform/help with all general maintenance with machinery and equipment. Check all fluid levels daily and perform daily walk around inspection, to include greasing as necessary. All other duties as assigned, delegated, or necessary for operations. Standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods of time. Occasional bending, kneeling, or crouching.
Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling object(s) weighing up to 50 pounds.
