Job Duties:
***RFI Response*** At Sanderling Resort, the Server position is focused on enhancing the overall dining experience. As such, from time to time, the server may be asked to prepare certain items table side, such as compiling the ingredients prepared by the chef for a Caesar salad from individual portioned ingredients into a serving bowl or finishing a crème brulee by caramelizing the top of the dish with a kitchen torch lighter. At no time is the server cooking or preparing dishes but is merely doing a table side completion presentation of the food already prepared in the kitchen. ***Original F.a.2*** Provide fine-dining services and collect payments from customers in all outlets. The position is responsible for greeting, seating, taking orders, taking reservations from guests, and filing condiment and napkin containers. They will perform food preparation duties such as preparing salads, appetizers, and cold dishes. They will also perform cleaning duties, such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming of food & beverage outlet floors. Additional requirements include but may not be limited to preparing checks, itemizing, and totaling meal costs and taxes; removing dishes and glasses from tables or counters, rolling silverware, and set up food stations; and serving food and beverages to guests and preparing specialty dishes at tables as required. Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as needed. Please note: Under the anticipated days and hours of work per week, we provided an example of a work schedule. Our business is open 7 days a week so the days and hours worked will vary. DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE WORK AND THE BUSINESS OPERATIONS, THE SHIFT TIMES WILL VARY AND WILL WORK WEEKENDS, SPLIT AND ROTATE SHIFTS. THE MINIMUM HOURS OFFERED PER WEEK WILL BE 35 HOURS PER WEEK.
