- Job Duties:
- Fabricate, assemble, and install structural steel products such as beams, braces, pipes, and plates for offshore drilling jackets and decks. Adhere and comply with all company and OSHA safety rules and regulations. Check for and repair leaks in cable, hoses and connections. Read blueprints, section and plan drawings, and weld symbols. Cut plate, pipe, and beams using a cutting torch. Lay out and fit pipe, beams, decks and jackets. Build structures to tolerance, shoot levels, and perform cross check. Use come-a-longs, chain falls, and other industry tools and equipment, and install, use, and remove stop plates, dogs, and pad eyes. Use crane signals and perform own rigging. Read and derive measurements, dimensions, and quantity of material needed to fabricate a structure. Frame skids, bends, and elevations for jackets. Climb and work in high places that may exceed 200 feet in height, and in confined spaces. Reading blueprints and drawings, perform structural layouts, build steel structures to specified tolerances, use a cutting torch and other industry tools and equipment.
Night shift: 5:30 pm to 3:30am. hours and days may vary. 40-56 hours per week.
