Job Duties:

Job duties of the Cook position include cleaning food preparation equipment, work areas, and counter or tables; perform food preparation tasks, such as making sandwiches, chopping fruit, carving meats, making soups or salads; perform general cleaning activities in kitchen and dining areas; restocking kitchen supplies, rotate food, and stamp the time and date on food coolers; grill, cook, and fry foods such as hamburger patties, French fries, eggs, chicken, tacos, kolaches, breakfast sandwiches, fresh sandwiches, pizzas and hamburgers. Workers will use microwave, stove, oven and small kitchen grills to prepare food.

Special Requirements:

The Texan Stores is open to patrons 24 hours day/ 7 days a week. Workers will be assigned shifts per their selection and availability. Employer will guarantee 35 hours for each worker. The three shift options are available from Monday through Sunday: 4:00am to 1:00pm; 11:00am to 10:00pm; 10:00pm to 8:00am. These schedules may vary slightly depending on worker availability and preference. Overtime rate will be given for hours over the standard 40 hours per week.
