Job Duties:

Extracting stone from quarries for building materials. Operating different types of drilling equipment (pneumatic drilling tools, wire saw, jackhammer, sledge hammer, pressure washer, and manlift such as Tamrock 550 Double Drill, Tamrock 550 Lift Drill, Tamrock 600 Slot Drill, Marini Voyager DTH Track Drill, Dazzini DTH Track Drill, Bennetti DTH, Tamrock Zoom Rail, and Plug Drills) in a quarry and trim yard environment. Drilling deep holes, lift holes, and channel operations in high-pressure conditions. Operating up to 3 to 5 saws simultaneously. Threading diamond wire through connected vertical and horizontal boreholes. Tipping lines (slab of varying sizes) onto the ground with the use of Hydro bags, air bags and loaders equipped with tipping booms. Inspecting ground conditions. Ensuring stone is blocked against movement once on the ground. Laying of dimensional sizes. Drilling and breaking lines. Installing railings and warning lines utilizing the use of pry-bars to pry stone, and lifting and/or carrying wire rope and chain slings (weighing in excess of 40-pounds). Lifting and/or carrying other miscellaneous equipment and materials in excess of 50-pounds. Assisting equipment operators with setting machinery, installing up to 2” mining pins, and sealing of highwalls. Ensuring the installation of removal of ladder and ladder systems. Observing strict safety regulations.

Special Requirements:

Minimum Requirements: No education or experience required. All required on-the-job training will be provided to the worker including on-site training to become familiar with the different types of equipment and work processes. Must be able to: Safely operate 2530-pound pneumatic tools, 50-pound pneumatic drills, 8-pound sledge hammers, and 60-foot manlifts. Work in outdoor environment with extreme weather conditions (cold, hot, rain, etc.), with high noise levels, at times. Work, ascend, and descent ladders up to 200 feet in height. Stand for up to 9 hours at a time. Safely lift and/or carry equipment and materials up to 75-pounds unassisted. Must pass pre-employment drug screening, background, and employment eligibility (E-Verify) checks. Post-accident and upon suspicion of use drug testing required.
