Job Duties:
Prepare, season and cook soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other foods. Measure and mix ingredients according to recipe; use a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment such as blenders, mixers, grinders, slicers, digital ovens, digital fryers and knives. Clean and organize coolers and freezers; put away ordered stock items. Clean food preparation areas such as work surfaces and serving areas; maintain clean work area including dishwashing and cleaning kitchen floors; take out trash. Must follow all sanitation policies and procedures. The employer will offer a minimum of 40 hours per week. Business is open 7 days a week. Scheduled workdays vary Sunday through Saturday, including holidays. Normal shift time 10am-6:30pm. Shift includes 30 minutes unpaid break time. Workdays, hours, and shift time may vary with business needs. The employer may increase wage based on experience, market conditions, and/or provide additional pay for performance and tenure. Holiday bonus pay is possible. One meal provided during shift at no cost. Overtime may be available. An overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after 40 hours in a workweek. Generally, when overtime is available it will be paid at $25.37 per hour. The employer will provide a bicycle for daily transportation to and from the worksite.

Special Requirements:
3 months restaurant/fine dining Cook experience required. Must be at least 18 years old. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., and bend, lift, move, push, pull and carry boxes. Must have or be willing to obtain a valid Food Handler's certification once employed (provided by employer). Post-employment criminal background check and drug test required, cost paid by employer and applied equally to all workers, U.S. and foreign/H-2B. Workers are subject to post-injury/incident drug test, cost paid by employer and applied equally to all workers, U.S. and foreign/H-2B. Must be able to work a flexible 5-day schedule, including weekends and holidays. Applicant must complete an employment application. Required uniform provided at no charge to the worker.
