Job Duties:

Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications and work orders to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations. Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding. Lay out, position, align and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, and tape measure. Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits. Position and secure work pieces, using hoists, cranes or hand tools. Remove rough spots from work pieces using portable grinders.

Special Requirements:

Requires six months of previous experience working as a Welder/Fabricator or equivalent manufacturing position. This position requires knowledge of wire feed welding, fabrication, and ability to read blueprints. Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
