***RFI response*** The CDL Drivers will transport raw sugar from Raceland's raw sugar mill's warehouses at 175 Mill Street, Raceland, LA 70394 to the Domino Sugar Chalmette Refinery, 7417 N. Peters Street, Arabi, LA 70032 three times a day operating tractor trailer trucks (18 wheelers with an empty weight of 32,0001bs) measuring approximately 50' between the truck and trailer with a max height of 13'6". ***Original F.a.2*** CDL Driver - Temporary, full-time employment from October 1 to January 31 with Raceland Raw Sugar, LLC in Raceland, Louisiana. Transport raw sugar from Raceland’s raw sugar mill’s warehouses at 175 Mill Street, Raceland, LA 70394 to the Domino Sugar Chalmette Refinery, 7417 N. Peters Street, Arabi, LA 70032 (50 miles) so the raw sugar is refined for human consumption. Due to peak production at this time, we are required to escalate our hauling of the raw sugar to the refinery until the warehouses are liquidated. The CDL Drivers report to 175 Mill Street in the morning, weigh their assigned empty truck, drive into the warehouse where the truck is loaded by workers, weigh the loaded truck, drive to the Domino Sugar Chalmette Refinery, weigh the truck at the Domino facility, dump the raw sugar load where instructed (the workers do not leave their truck), drive the empty truck back to Raceland’s raw sugar mill, and repeat. Workers will make three (3) trips a day like this. Operate communications equipment or systems. Maintain records of every delivery and weigh-in. The CDL Drivers will transport raw sugar from Raceland’s raw sugar mill’s warehouses at 175 Mill Street, Raceland, LA 70394 to the Domino Sugar Chalmette Refinery, 7417 N. Peters Street, Arabi, LA 70032 three times a day. The workers do NOT stop anywhere else. Although there are no other stops, the workers will drive through Lafourche Parish (Raceland Raw Sugar, LLC), St. Charles Parish, Jefferson Parish, Orleans Parish, and ending in St. Bernard Parish at the Domino Sugar Chalmette Refinery. A minimum of 3 months experience is required in the job offered. CDL or its foreign equivalent is required. A single workweek will be used in computing wages due. Wages are paid bi-weekly. No minimum education is required. No on-the-job training is provided. On-site lodging offered at no charge to workers hired in this temporary seasonal position. All Local, State and Federal Taxes will be deducted from employee’s paycheck as stated in the law. If necessary, any advances of pay will be deducted according to an agreement between employer and employee. The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. Employer reserves the right to pay a higher wage to a worker depending on the experience of the worker for the job offered.
