Job Duties:

As general laborers, workers will sweep, vacuum, and mop floors in hot, humid, dusty, and cold while keeping production areas clean and safe, scooping and moving debris from the work areas, equipment, and sugar wheelbarrows. Workers will assist in the remelt and reclaiming of sugar. Forklift-in-job training will be provided to workers so that they can occasionally perform duties with a forklift. Workers will use tools such as brooms, vacuums, rags, sponges, shovels, hoses, wheelbarrows, and buckets. Workers will Hole watch for confined space work/repairs. Assist station jobs when needed or other duties as instructed by the shift supervisor, end tech, or shift lead. Workers will clean the factory yard/exterior.

Special Requirements:

The workers must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb multiple flights of stairs, and stand/walk for most of the shift. They must also be able to work in hot, cold, dirty, dusty, and humid conditions. Workers must be willing to work rotating shifts, be safety conscious, and wear PPE. Workers must also be able to speak English. Forty hours per week from Saturday to Sunday. There are rotating shifts: 8:00 AM--4:00PM, 4:00 PM--12:00 AM, and 12:00 AM--8:00 AM. Workers work on one of those shifts for one week and then move to the next schedule.
