- Job Duties:
- Transport perishable and non-perishable produce to grocery stores in the Pacific Northwest, and from United Salad Co. warehouses and distribution centers. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules. Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts. Load and unload product from trailer with an electric pallet jack. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods), as well as with company policies and procedures. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions. Collect and verify delivery instructions. Report defects, accidents or violations. Will drive a tractor-trailer combination or a truck with a capacity of at least 26,001 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). It could include any combination of vehicles that has a gross combination weight rating or gross combination weight of 26,001 pounds or more, including towed unit(s) with a Gross Vehicle Weight rating or Gross Vehicle Weight of more than 10,000 pounds.

- Special Requirements:
- Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License. Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License and Medical Card. Must have ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs. throughout the daily shift. Demonstrated experience with Electronic Logging Device (ELD) system. Clean motor vehicle record (proof of no moving violations in the last two (2) years). Must pass pre-employment DOT requirements. Must have demonstrated knowledge of the rules associated with the interstate DOT travel, both state and federal. Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and must not be prohibited by FMCSA clearing house.
