Job Duties:

***RFI Response*** Snow Removal Laborers will perform the following specific duties: • Remove snow from walks, driveways, and parking lots using hand-held shovels, walk-behind snow blowers, and ice melt spreaders. • Apply de-icing materials using hand-held and push spreaders. • Perform snow and ice removal from building entrances, sidewalks, and other pedestrian areas using shovels and ice chippers. • Drive company vehicles (Ford F-150 pickup trucks) between job sites to transport equipment and materials within a 90-mile radius of the company headquarters. • During non-snow periods, perform leaf removal using rakes, leaf blowers. • Load and unload materials for grounds maintenance, including salt, sand, and other ice melt products. Equipment Utilized: • Hand-held shovels • Walk-behind snow blowers • Ice melt spreaders (hand-held and push models) • Ford F-150 Pickup trucks • Ice chippers • Leaf blowers and rakes Vehicle Operation: Laborers will drive company vehicles, Ford F-150 pickup trucks, between job sites. They will not plow public streets ***Original F.a.2*** Laborers needed for snow removal season, must be available on call for snow removal at commercial and residential property locations. Laborers will use a shovel and snowblower, and ice melt spreader. Shifts will depend on the time and amount of the snowfall. Lift up to 50 lbs. Other duties as needed: leaf removal, load/unload materials for grounds maintenance, de-icing, removal of snow from walks, driveways and parking lots. Laborers may drive vehicle. This position is for 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, however may vary days or times to accommodate inclement weather. Laborers must have driving license class C to drive trucks between the worksites to bring maintenance materials within Scott County in the state of Iowa and Rock Island County in the state of Illinois.
