Job Duties:
Performs a variety of tasks to ensure the safety of pool guests, pool grounds, and pool equipment. Rescue distressed persons using rescue techniques and equipment. Examine injured persons and administer first aid or CPR, if necessary, using training and medical supplies and equipment. Maintains cleanliness of pools and pool decks; hose off pool deck, remove debris from pool and pool decks. Keep pool furniture and umbrellas neat and clean. Distribute swim tubes to guests; keep tubes stacked neatly when not in use. Maintain supply of clean pool towels for guest use; keep towels neatly folded and stacked. Carry soiled towels to laundry; obtain clean towels from laundry and carry to pool deck. Check in guests at the pool; sell pool accessories to guests upon request. Warn pool guests of inclement weather and unsafe areas. Enforces safety rules. The employer will offer 40 hours per week. Open 7 days a week. 5-day work schedule varies Sunday through Saturday. Shift times vary including: 7am-3pm, 9am-5pm, 12pm-8pm. Other 8-hour day and evening shift times possible/may be required. Workdays, hours, and shift times may vary with occupancy. Employer may increase wage based on experience, changes in market conditions, and/or provide additional pay for performance and tenure. Overtime may be available. An overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after 40 hours per workweek. Generally, when overtime is available it will be paid at $23.37 per hour. Optional medical and dental insurance is available. Optional meal tickets are available. Special Requirements:
Must have valid Lifeguard Certification (including CPR and First Aid) or willing and able to obtain Lifeguard Certification upon employment (provided by employer). Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to communicate in English. Must be able to work a flexible 5-day schedule with varying shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Pre-employment criminal background check required, cost paid by employer and applied equally to all workers, U.S. and foreign/H-2B. Applicant must complete an employment application. Required uniform provided at no charge to the worker.
