Job Duties:

Duties may include: perform various manual labor tasks on pool renovation sites to assist in the work of skilled tradesmen and craftsmen such as plasterers, masons, carpenters, coping installers, and plumbers, with the replacement of tile, brick/stone, demolition of plaster/concrete, rebar installation, excavation, concrete resurfacing, installation of drainage, pool pipelines and conduits, water features, and install/rebuild pump room. Details: Clean and prepare construction sites and maintain them through to completion of project. Load and unload trucks, manually or with the assistance of wheelbarrows and dollies. Unpack and store supplies and equipment in stockrooms, storerooms, or warehouses. Distribute materials. Assist with the digging of swimming pool pipe trenches. Erect wood forms, mix and pour materials such as concrete, tie rebar, set forms for gunite, and replace tile and coping. Perform various manual tasks in connection with the installation of drainage, and/or water pool pipelines and conduits. Position, joining, and seal PVC pipe sections. Erect and remove shoring and bracing for trenches and excavations. Remove debris and clean up spills from construction sites. Remove debris and clean up spills from construction site. Operate basic tools and equipment (e.g., saw, drill, spade, pickaxe, hammer, ripping bar, pressure cleaner, etc.) properly and safely. Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms/legs and moving the entire body (e.g., climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, bending over, and the handling of materials) & other related Swimming Pool Renovations Assistant activities as per SOC/OES 47-2061 (onetonline.org). Standard/Expected Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:00PM. Offering 40+ (plus) hours per week; not including applicable lunch and/or breaks. Possible weekend/holiday work. Start/end times, offered hours and/or overtime could vary as they may be dependent upon other factors such as project/schedule/service needs, weather, and commute time between worksites (if applicable). Overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. At Employer’s sole discretion: possible raises and/or bonuses based on individual factors such as work performance or skill (not guaranteed).

Must show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Perform physical activities: such as lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 50lbs. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Based on Employer's discretion/cost: Worker may have random drug/alcohol testing during employment: positive test/refusal to abide = dismissal. Work is performed outdoors, exposed to weather; must be capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours, occasionally in extreme heat or cold. Variable weather conditions apply; hours may fluctuate (+/-), possible downtime and/or overtime.
