- Job Duties:
- 1. Installation of mortarless segmental wall units (mortarless segmental wall units can weigh up to 100 lbs) including setting base course. 2. Experience setting and adjusting sprinkler heads, and use of tractor with vibrating plow for installing sprinkler pipe. 3. Demonstrate proper pruning techniques using hand pruners and saws to care for ornamental shrubs and small trees. 4. Weeding including lawn herbicide weed spraying (ex. Weed-n-Feed, Roundup) using mechanical and chemical means (pesticide applications will be done under direct supervision of licensed pest applicator). All tools and personal protection to mix and apply pesticide will be provided by employer at no extra cost to worker. 5. Experienced with proper planting of trees, shrubs and other plants. (Proper grade depth, soil prep, fertilizer and staking.) 6. Must lift and carry 60 lbs. 7. All work to be performed in the municipality of Anchorage and must provide own transportation to work site within Anchorage area. 8. Driver license not necessary for hire but must be able to obtain a driver license within 1 month of hire as per company liability insurance; landscaping tasks require only licensed drivers to move trucks, trailers and equipment on commercial jobs.

- ADDENDUM FOR SECTION E.B.5: SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS THREE MONTHS VERIFIABLE LANDSCAPING EXPERIENCE INCLUDES: 1. INSTALLATION OF MORTARLESS SEGMENTAL WALL UNITS CONSTRUCTION INCLUDING SETTING BASE COURSE. 2. EXPERIENCE INSTALLING UNDERGROUND LAWN AND SPRINKLERS USING TRACTOR WITH VIBRATING PLOW, AND ADJUSTING AND SETTING ADJUSTING AND SETTING SPINKLER HEADS. 3. VERIFIABLE EXPERIENCE WITH PROPER PRUNING TECHNIQUES USING HAND PRUNERS AND SAWS TO CARE FOR ORNAMENTAL SHRUBS AND SMALL TREES. 4. EXPERIENCE WITH LAWN HERBICIDE WEED SPRAYING USING MECHANICAL AND CHEMICAL MEANS (APPLICATIONS DONE UNDER SUPERVISION OF LICENSED PEST APPLICATOR - ALL TOOLS AND PERSONAL PROTECTION PROVIDED). 5.
