Job Duties:
Duties may include: Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed, and provide cooks with needed items. Wash, peel, and cut various foods, such as fruits and vegetables, to prepare for cooking or serving. Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware. Load dishes, glasses, and tableware into dishwashing machine. Remove trash and clean kitchen garbage containers & other related Food Preparation Worker activities as per SOC/OES 35-2021 (onetonline.org).

Special Requirements:
Must be 18 due to state labor laws. Must show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Perform physical activities: such as lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 50lbs. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified. Based on Employer's discretion/cost: Worker may have random drug/alcohol testing during employment: positive test/refusal to abide = dismissal. Possible background check post hire at employer's expense. Hours may fluctuate based on tourism peaks and valleys throughout the season (+/-), possible downtime and/or overtime. Employer shall provide in addition to wages a $1.00 per hr stipend in lieu of a paid meal and laundry. The position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement and the terms and conditions of that agreement will govern the employment relationship. A copy of the agreement will be provided to the worker upon request, in the language with which they are most comfortable. Nothing contained in this Agreement (CBA) is to be interpreted to prevent the Employer from paying employees wages or benefits in excess of the minimum. Such excess payments shall be within the sole discretion of the Employer. Available benefits may include health and welfare and 401K. Any other benefits are outlined by the collective bargaining agreement and may apply. In the event that the Employer implements a post-accident drug testing policy for all its employees, this policy will apply to bargaining unit members as well. The policy shall not involve discipline of employees for off-duty conduct which does not impair an employee's conduct or performance of work. Hours worked in excess of 40 hrs per week or on the 6th or 7th consecutive day shall be compensated at 1 1/2 times the straight time rate of pay, provided where the 6th and 7th day of work is due to a change in schedule requested by an employee. Other deductions may be taken per employee's request. Additional deductions from wages may be taken, where requested by the worker in writing or where required under the CBA with Unite Here! Shifts vary. Weekend shifts very likely.
