Job Duties:

Assist chefs with food and drink preparation. Weigh or measure ingredients, such as meats and liquids. Prepare fruit and vegetables for cooking. Cut meats, poultry, and seafood and prepare them for cooking. Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed, and provide cooks with needed items. Take and record temperature of food and food storage areas, such as refrigerators and freezers. Arrange food for serving. Assemble and package meals for delivery. Clean food preparation areas, facilities, equipment and dishes. Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage. Carry food supplies, equipment, and utensils to and from storage and work areas. Occasionally travel to fields within Santa Barbara county to assist in the delivery of meals to field workers. Night shift work is required. F.b.9 Workers will be paid no less than $18.55 per hour. Workers will be paid BI-WEEKLY by check. An overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after eight hours in a day and for the first eight hours on the seventh consecutive day of work in a workweek; at double-time after 12 hours in a day and for all hours worked in excess of eight on the seventh consecutive day of work in a workweek; and at time-and-a-half after 40 hours in a workweek. Overtime hours may vary, depending on weather or other conditions, and will be paid at $27.83 per hour (one and one-half times the base salary). The Employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. The Employer will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by law. F.a.5 A-H. anticipated days and hours of work per week: Various 5 day shifts between Monday through Saturday, 8 hours a day, beginning between 1am and 4 am and ending from 9am to 12pm.
