Job Duties:

• At the direction of branch manager and field supervisor, install insulation in residential new construction homes. • Unload and load trucks with insulation material and stock houses with material. • Measure and cut insulation for covering surfaces, using utility razor blades. • Fit, cut, and staple, insulating materials to structures or surfaces, using utility blades. • Cover and line structures with blown or rolled forms of materials to insulate against cold, heat, or moisture, using saws, knives, rasps, trowels, and blowers. • Distribute insulating materials evenly into small spaces within floors, ceilings, or walls, using blowers and hose attachments. • Move controls, buttons, or levers to start blowers and regulate flow of materials through nozzles. • Fill blower hoppers with insulating materials. • Any additional installation duties as assigned by branch manager and field supervisor.

Special Requirements:

Insulation installers must work under conditions that require standing most of the day, climbing up and down ladders, bending and picking up materials and tools, and lifting 25-50 lbs. Insulation installers may work under hot weather conditions. Insulation installers will also be exposed to materials that may be very itchy and uncomfortable to work with. Weekend and overtime as needed and on request.
