Job Duties:

Assists the Chef in production and fabrication of food products for kitchen preparation, cafeteria, banquet cooking, dining room, and fine dining. Work to maintain an adequate production level form the Kitchen staff. Your Role: • Work in various cooking procedures and methods (prep, grill, sauté, fry, etc.) • You will use knives and various kitchen equipment • You will reach and recreate recipes • Consistency on all food preparation • Learn how to minimize food waste through cross utilization • Create workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment • Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat) • Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly • Be responsible for the quality of ingredients

Special Requirements:

Previous culinary experience in a luxury hotel or upscale restaurant required, at least 3 months. Experience with banquet preparation and service delivery Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds. Time management skills Ability to work on feet for an extended period Ability to communicate effectively Flexibility to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
