Job Duties:
The employee will work in a comfortable and convenient work environment, within the office of the National Union of Non-Profit Dominican Republic, Inc., organization located at 2070 Grand Concourse suite 1, Bronx, NY 10457. To ensure employee productivity and wellbeing, the primary duties will include interviewing individuals from the Hispanic community residing in the State of New York, in Spanish, by phone, postal mail, in person, or by other means to complete forms; explaining the objectives and procedures of the survey to the interviewees; and interpreting the questions to facilitate their understanding. Ask questions in Spanish as instructed to obtain specific information, such as person's name, address, age, marital status, employment situation, academic level, technical education, time living in the city, etc. Identify and resolve inconsistencies in interviewees' responses by means of appropriate questioning or explanation. Assist individuals in filling out questionnaires, Compile, record, and code results or data from an interview or survey using telephone, computer or specified form. Minimum education requirements of a high school diploma. The individual must have at least 12 months of experience in similar positions at nonprofit organizations, working as an interviewer on social projects for the Hispanic community, and using computers. Work hours: $24.50 per hour, with standard office hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly.
