- Job Duties:
- Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards. Tend pumps, compressors, or generators to provide power for tools, machinery, or equipment or to heat or move materials. Inspect, repair, and perform routine maintenance on pumps, which includes inspecting the motor, valve and other parts of the machine. Lubricate, clean, or repair machinery, equipment, or tools. Measure, mark, or record openings or distances to layout areas where construction work will be performed. Install sewer, water, or storm drain pipes, using pipe-laying machinery or laser guidance equipment. Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes. Grade land; spread straw. Load/unload equipment from trucks and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specifications. Clean work sites.

- Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Post-hire background checks may be required of foreign and domestic workers based on contract requirements. Must possess or be able to obtain U.S. driver's license within 60 days of hire. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
