Job Duties:
BIND BOOKS AND OTHER PUBLICATIONS OR FINISH PRINTED PRODUCTS BY HAND OR MACHINE. MAY SET UP BINDING AND FINISHING MACHINES. FOLLOW SCHEDULE AND INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE MACHINE OPERATOR AND DEPARTMENT MANAGER OR SHIFT SUPERVISOR. CATCH ANY PRODUCTION, PROCESS OR QUALITY ERRORS. ENSURE ALL SUPPIES AND EQUIPMENT NEEDED ARE SET UP TO RUN JOB SO NO STOPPING IS REQUIRED. WHILE RUNNING JOBS, QUALITY INSPECT BY MAKING RANDOM PULLS. INSPECT EACH ONE FOR ANY DEFECTS OR IMPERFECTIONS. PACK AND STACK AS INSTRUCTED BY OPERATOR. STAGE UPCOMING JOBS. CLEAN MACHINE AND SURROUNDING AREAS. OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED AND MAY CONSIST OF ASSISTING A PEER DEPARTMENT, TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ASSISTING IN THE FOLLOWING DEPARTMENTS: MAILING, SPECIALTY BINDER, SPECIALTY FINISHING AND BINDERY. THIS POSITION SUPPORTS MULTIPLE DEPARTMENTS IN ASSISTING OF THE PRODUCTION FLOOR IN ALL AREAS OF OPERATIONS, EQUIPMENT, MACHINES, MAILING, MATERIALS AND SUPPILES IN ANY WAY NEEDED TO MAXIMIZE SPEED AND PRODUCTION. DUTIES INCLUDE SUPPLYING OR HOLDING MATERIALS OR TOOLS AND CLEANING WORK AREA AND EQUIPMENT.
