- Job Duties:
- Install, repair, and maintain refractory materials in high-temperature industrial equipment, such as furnaces, kilns, incinerators, and boilers. Duties include removing worn refractory brick and materials, cleaning and preparing surfaces, cutting and fitting refractory blocks, and applying refractory cement or castable mixtures. Operate hand tools and power equipment to complete installations. Work may require entering confined spaces and exposure to extreme heat and dust. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all site safety protocols. Workers may perform tasks under the supervision of a certified safety officer and must be able to read and follow blueprints or technical diagrams. Employer will provide all necessary safety training, including instruction in the use of PPE, working in confined spaces, and compliance with MSHA Part 46 and/or 48, prior to assignment at job sites.

- Ability to work in high-heat environments and confined spaces; familiarity with refractory tools and materials; physical stamina to lift up to 75 lbs. Must perform physical activities including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. Use of PPE is required at all times in hazardous work zones. Must be available for emergency repair shifts; work schedule may vary between Monday and Sunday depending on project needs.
