Job Duties:

Use hand/power tools to landscape and maintain lawns. Lay sod, mow, trim, plant, water, fertilize, rake and blow leaves, install sprinklers and mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units. Pull, chop weeds, prune and haul topsoil and mulch. Dig holes using hand/power tools with a max width of 4 ft and a max depth of 3 ft, holes are to install sprinklers and/or plant. Light facility/equipment maintenance including routine cleaning, inspection, and recalibration of gardening and motorized equipment as necessary, cleaning hands tools like loppers/shears and wiping metal parts with oily rag, and sharpening cutting tools and blades of shovels and spades during gardening season. Help to keep up with landscaping equipment and tool inventory for purposes of ordering replacements, including hand tools like pruners, shears, shovels. This is not an advanced position requiring experience or decision-making abilities.

MUST BE ABLE TO BEND, STOOP, LIFT, AND STRETCH ON A FREQUENT BASIS. MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT 50 LBS OFTEN AND WORK IN EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS. HOURS AND SCHEDULE MAY VARY AND OVERTIME REQUIRED BASED ON WEATHER AND PROJECT NEED.
