Job Duties:
*RFI Response the Packing Line Staff will be trained in the Bakery to mix, make and package both apple cider donuts and apple pies using a 20 quart mixer, table top sheeter, manual dough divider, oven, and table top donut fryer. The apple slice training involves using a manual peeler/slicer which is mounted on lockable casters as well as training to use a tabletop weight scale. Training in Sweet Cider will include running a hydraulic lever to tip bins of apples onto an elevator where the employees visually inspect the apples as they are automatically washed, crushed, and pressed, followed by case packing/palletizing. Training in shipping will include loading finished cases of fresh apples, sweet cider, fresh apples slices and bakery goods on delivery trucks using a pallet jack. *Original The Main Job Task and Responsibilities: ensuring that all federal, state and company regulations and standards for product freshness and quality, food safety, weights and measures, store safety, refrigeration, and sanitation are met. Ensure accurate sizing and quality for packaging of fresh apples and other fruit occurs. Employee will visually inspect each apple or other fruit for quality so it can either be packed, directed to cider, or discarded. Employee will be responsible to maintain high performance to customers’ specifications and quality. Monitor and recommend improvements in processes to increase efficiency of packing line. Get supplies (boxes, labels, packing materials, etc.) throughout the day. Clean each station and packing area at the end of each day and completing all required Food safety records as required. Employee may also be cross trained to cover staffing shortages in the following departments: bakery, sweet cider, fresh apple slicing, and shipping. The employee must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 50 pounds, carry a 20 pound ladder. Weekends and nights are required.

The employee must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 50 pounds, carry a 20-pound ladder. Weekends and nights are required. Weekends and nights are required. Employees will work Mon-Sun an average of 40 hrs./wk. Must be able to work any 8-hour shift between the hours of 8:00 am to 10:00 pm any day of the week, days off rotate, shifts vary, weekends a must.
