Job Duties:
Assemble, build and/or erect structures from a variety of metal and non-metal pipe and pipe fittings, handling various tools and equipment while working with other industrial construction crafts. Test and commission piping systems. Read and comprehend piping isometric drawings. Weld joint preparation to meet project codes and standards. Thread pipe using a threading machine. Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installation. Clean and perform minor maintenance activities on tools and equipment. Equipment Used to Perform Job: 1. Protective Equipment: Gloves, hard-hat, goggles, fire-proof coveralls and safety harness. 2. Various long and short handled tools (e.g. pry bar, sledgehammer, saw, wrench, hammer, pliers, come-along, chain falls). 3. Power tools (e.g. saw, drill, grinder, cutting torch). 4. Safety harness weighing up to 7 -10 lbs, worn continuously. Schedule: Monday to Thursday 7:30 am to 5:00 pm; Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Hours subject to change due to weather and project needs.

1. Lifting: up to 50 lbs, floor to 36, to 60 (frequently). 2. Carrying: single hand up to 50 lbs, 50 feet (frequently). 3. Pulling: hand-over-hand, 25 - 30 lbs, 30 feet vertically while standing in stooped position (occasionally). 4. Climbing: vertical ladder, 20-25 increment, up to 150 (frequently). 5. Crouching and Reaching: for up to 5 minutes on even, uneven, narrow and/or elevated surfaces (frequently). 6. Kneeling and Reaching: for up to 5 minutes on even surfaces (frequently). 7. Squatting: for up to 4 minutes on even and uneven surfaces (frequently). 8. Balancing: on rough ground and narrow surfaces -- 6 inch (continuously). 9. Overhead Work: from various positions (squatting, standing, crouching); (occasionally). 10. Static Forward Bending: from standing, crouching, squatting or kneeling while using tools up to 10 minutes at a time (frequently). 11. Trunk Rotation: from standing or kneeling (frequently). 12. Walking: throughout the day on even and uneven surfaces up to 500 (continuously). 13. Grip: 60 lbs, (frequently).
