Job Duties:
***RFI Response*** Skid steers, loaders, doze rs, graders, generators, water trucks, fuel trucks, lube trucks, forklifts, aerial work platforms, scissor lifts, heavy haul trailers, passenger vehicles, heavy­haul trucks, yard mules, excavators, backhoes, trenchers, pile drivers, ATVs and Cranes Mechanics will operate equipment during, testing, diagnosing faults and following repairs. Mechanics will utilize 1. Various general mechanic tools hand tools. (e.g. Wrenches, Screwdrivers, Pliers). 2. Various general mechanic tools power tools. (e.g. Impact wrench, Angle grinders). 3. Various specialized tools. (e.g. Gear pullers, pressure gauges). 4. Oils and lubricants Mechanics will utilize 1. Various general mechanic shop equipment. ( Jacks, trolleys) 2. Various general mechanic tools power tools. (e.g. Impact wrench, Angle grinders). 3. Various specialized tools. (e.g. Gear pullers, pressure gauges). Mechanics will remove cover panels on the equipment and resecure following repair. ***Original F.a.2*** Operate, inspect, diagnose defects, repair and maintain all types of construction equipment. Supervise Equipment Mechanic Helper. Maintain appropriate company records to document equipment maintenance, service and repair using electronic mobile devices. Work outside in all weather conditions. Work area and equipment housekeeping. Operate and inspect machines or equipment to diagnose defects and repair all types of construction equipment. Perform routine preventive maintenance on heavy construction equipment in a field environment (i.e. lubrication and replacement of brakes, belts, hoses, filters, fluids, and engine tune-up). Dismantle and reassemble systems on heavy construction equipment. Identify excessive damage or wear on equipment. Replace defective engines and subassemblies. Test and inspect overhauled equipment to ensure efficient operation. Push and/or pull tool boxes to position them while working on equipment. Load, transport, unload materials, tools, equipment and suppliers. Assist in lifting, positioning and securing of materials and work pieces during installation. Perform maintenance or cleaning activities on tools and equipment. Equipment Used to Perform Job: 1. Protective Equipment: Gloves, safety shoes, hard-hat, goggles, ear plugs, safety harness; FRC, rainwear and respiratory protection as required. 2. Various hand tools, vehicle jacks, welding equipment. Schedule: Monday to Thursday 7:30 am to 5:00 pm; Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Hours subject to change due to weather and project needs.

1. Safety harness weighing up to 7 -10 lbs, worn continuously. 2. Tool bucket with assorted wrenches and hand tools -- up to 30 lbs. 3. Materials and equipment lifted/carried -- up to 50 lbs. 4. Materials are lifted to varying heights of 18 to 60 inches. 5. Cutting torch -- 10 lbs. 6. Grinders -- 15 lbs. 7. Electric saw/German air saw -- 15 lbs. 8. Wrenches -- up to 35 lbs. 9. Sledgehammer -- 16 lbs. 10. Lifting: up to 50 lbs, floor to 36, to 60, (frequently). 11. Carrying: single hand up to 50 lbs, 50 feet, (frequently). 12. Pulling: hand-over-hand, 25 - 30 lbs, 30 feet vertically while standing in stooped position (occasionally). 13. Climbing: vertical ladder, 20-25 increment, up to 150, (frequently). 14. Crouching and Reaching: for up to 5 minutes on even, uneven, narrow and/or elevated surfaces (frequently). 15. Kneeling and reaching: for up to 5 minutes on even surfaces (frequently). 16. Squatting: for up to 4 minutes on even and uneven surfaces (frequently). 17. Balancing: on rough ground and narrow surfaces -- 6 inch (continuous). 18. Overhead Work: from various positions (squatting, standing, crouching); (occasionally). 19. Static Forward Bending: from standing, crouching, squatting or kneeling while using tools up to 10 minutes at a time (frequently). 20. Trunk Rotation: from standing or kneeling (frequently). 21. Walking: throughout the day on even and uneven surfaces up to 500 (continuously). 22. Grip: 60 lbs (frequently).
