Job Duties:
Stone Sorter, Trimmer, Processor Applicant must be of strong physical character, and display strength and dexterity in both arms and hands, exhibit trunk strength using abdominal and lower back muscles continually over time, as well as be able to spend the majority of the workday standing without giving out. Repeated heavy lifting is required. Position requires the ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions with exactness and integrity. No experience or prior training/education required. Employees will work in teams of 2-4 people. Teams are trained and supervised by production manager. Employees will work indoors. Each team will receive stone delivered in bulk by truck or loader and placed in their working area. Each team will work to process the stone delivered to them by: Job Duty Process • Trim, shape or separate stone layers as needed to fit grading specifications using hammers, chisels and bars. • Sorting stones by size, shape, and color Processed Stone is put in stacks and inspected by quality control supervisor prior to packaging teams putting into pallets. Employees are required to follow established safety program including use of safety glasses, steel toed boots, protective gloves, and hearing protection. All PPE provided by employer.
