Job Duties:

The Packaging Associate is a member of the packaging team focused on quality control to ensure all products are properly packaged to the company’s and customer’s specifications. This is a full-time, nonexempt hourly position. The primary job duties include verify proper packaging is being used; ensure correct number of products are included in packages; pack product into polybags; seal package using twist-tie machine and check that the package seals properly; perform product inspections, discard product that does not meet our quality standards; communicate any issues to the packaging supervisor; promote safety in all areas of operations; maintain cleanliness of the work area. Ability to work overtime, weekend and holiday hours. Employer will offer no less than 40 hours of work per week, 8 hours a day Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 3:00 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. and 8 hours on Sunday 3:00 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. Workers are needed to begin work on 10/1/2025 through 11/30/2025. Total Hours per week: 40. Work on Sundays is required. 8 hours a day Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and 8 hours on Sunday per week for regular time with compensable overtime each week Salary Range: $18.65/hour Salary Comments: Workers will be paid no less than $18.65 per hour. Workers will be paid BI-WEEKLY by check. Overtime hours may vary, depending on weather or other conditions, and will be paid at $27.98 per hour (one and one-half times the base salary). The Employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. The Employer will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by law. Overtime: For work performed in California, an overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after eight hours in a day and for the first eight hours on the seventh consecutive day of work in a workweek; at double-time after 12 hours in a day and for all hours worked in excess of eight on the seventh consecutive day of work in a workweek; and at time-and-a-half after 40 hours in a workweek. The overtime rate (time-and-a-half) is $27.98.

Training: Training will be provided for 10 days from each workers initial date of employment. The employer will provide on-the-job training in the proper use and maintenance of tools, supplies, or equipment required in the performance of work. Basic Literacy skills. Able to read and comprehend verbal or written instructions, signage, warning signs. Able to count and perform basic math. Able to comprehend production schedule. Capable of maneuvering up to 50 pounds and lifting approximately 20 pounds throughout a workday. Able to stand for extended periods of time, physically capable of moving to all areas of the plant. Able to view product and determine adherence to quality control standards including size, shape, color, and cut. Able to perform all duties so as not to damage the product. Able to practice necessary food safety and personal safety procedures.
