Job Duties:

Construction Helpers assist construction tradesworkers with a variety of tasks. This is an entry-level position to start to learn the construction trades at commercial and private interior renovation sites, such as homes and apartment complexes. Helpers carry tools and materials and help set up equipment. Assist with tool maintenance, cleaning up sites, and disposing of waste. Pass tools to the tradesworkers. Load or unload building materials to be used in construction. Build or take apart bracing, scaffolding, and temporary structures. Assist tradesworkers and contractors with their duties.

Special Requirements:

Must be able to climb ladders safely. Must be able to lift and carry large cans of paint, which can weigh up to 60 lbs. Must be able to lift and carry materials, pass tools, and perform other types of physical labor on a construction site.
