Job Duties:
Using sophisticated climbing and rigging techniques, cut away dead or excess branches from trees or shrubs to maintain right-of-way for roads, sidewalks, or utilities, or to improve appearance, health, and value of tree. Prune or treat trees or shrubs using handsaws, hand pruners, clippers, and power pruners. Works off the ground in the tree canopy and may use truck-mounted lifts. As included on the ONET website for 37-3013 (Tree Trimmers/Pruners), workers may also operate boom trucks, loaders, tractors. Must follow all safety regulations and Kip's Tree Service safety guidelines, including but not limited to employer-provided personal protective equipment.

Special Requirements:
Requires six months of tree trimming/climbing experience. Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Post-hire upon suspicion of use and post-accident drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers. Driving is not a requirement of the position. However, any workers who voluntarily drive company vehicles are subject to motor vehicle checks. Must be willing to climb to heights in excess of 80 feet and have no fear of heights. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
