- Job Duties:
- Shovel and plow snow using hand tools and powered equipment for walk behind clearing in parking lots, driveways, and sidewalks, grounds maintenance, such as litter cleanup, and other duties as assigned related to facilities maintenance, such as clearing roads and facilities of leaves, snow, or debris using hand tools or power equipment including but not limited to rakes, shovels, and snow/leaf blowers. Irrigation system winterization and activation. Potential for fall and spring clean-up, including raking, mulching, and composting of leaves, removal of dead plant material, perennial plant cutbacks, dormant pruning, leaf removal and landscape bed mulching. Operate a snow blower on parking lots, driveways, and sidewalks. De-icing and removal of snow from walks, driveways and parking lots for various residential and commercial properties, using hand tools such as snow brooms, shovels, and spreading de-icing solutions, including calcium chloride or rock salt by hand. May also use walk behind electric or gas snow blowers, as needed. May drive crew vehicle. No driver’s license is required as a condition of employment for the position. If the prospective worker already possesses a standard, noncommercial driver’s license they may be asked to drive a vehicle to job sites, as needed.

- Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Work hours may include nights, weekends, and overtime during emergencies and winter storm conditions. Post hire post accident drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers.
