- Job Duties:
- Design, construct, and create jewelry from precious metals and stones including gold, silver, plantinum, precious and semi-precious stones, and diamonds. Meticulously shapes, facets, and polishes raw gemstones using specialized tools (laser cutters, diamond cutters, grooving, polishing and feceting wheeles) and precision techniques to enhance their brilliance, symmetry, and market value—requiring a deep understanding of gemological properties, optical performance, and craftsmanship to maximize both aesthetic appeal and material yield. Adjust and repair jewelry fixing settings, remounting stones, fixing clasps. Fasten collar stone and diamonds using lasers to cut and improve quality of stone. Weld metals together without seams using laser welding equipment.
