Job Duties:
***RFI Response*** the laborers use forklifts and pallet jacks to move pallets of expired milk products in gallon containers to machines that will depackage/tear open/puncture the gallon containers to capture the expired milk liquid (it just falls into a collection well under the pallets); the collected milk is pasteurized, chilled back to 36 degrees, and shipped in bulk to the calf ranches for directly feeding to the calves as a liquid. ***Original Duties*** Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected. Related occupations Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs. Related occupations Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment. Related occupations Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported. Related occupations Sort cargo before loading and unloading.
