Job Duties:

• Provide one-on-one tailored, emotional, nurturing, safe, and healthy child care in the home in a manner that is engaging, child-focused, and compassionate • Act as a mentor and positive role model for the child by helping them develop good habits, learn new skills, develop their interests, and enhance their social skills • Care for the child’s hygiene, such as grooming, bathing, and diaper • Prepare bottles and simple meals to feed the child at meal time and snacks • Clean and sterilize the child’s bottles, food utensils, and toys and tidy items from the day’s activities and change diapers • Organize in-house activities, such as reading, crafts, and games to provide age appropriate stimulating activities to encourage the child’s growth and development, including communicating with the child in Greek, teaching the child Greek letters and numbers, and using the Ikarian dialect to maintain cultural roots • Share key updates and milestones with the family via phone, text or in person and work with the family on the best way to respond with disciplinary action • Over 18 years old • High School Diploma or GED, college degree preferred
