Job Duties:

***RFI Response*** Fountain Drinks: At the start of the shift, worker would open bags of ice (typically 10 to 20 pounds, ice cubed) into both the reservoir on the top of the dispenser and into the ice bin. Worker would ensure that the tanks or cartons of syrup (flavoring) have product in them and are attached to the Fountain Drink Machine. Worker would ensure that there are sufficient cups in the cup dispenser for the anticipated need during the shift and if there is a shortage, walk to the storage area and retrieve additional cups to place into the dispenser. When an order comes in for a certain flavor of drink, size, ice/light ice/no ice, from a patron, the worker would prepare the proper size, flavor drink and place a plastic lid on the cup. Worker would place the drink into the serving area so that another worker, with direct contact with the patron, is able to provide the drink(s) to the patron, along with the balance of the order. Popcorn: The popcorn machine is fixed on the counter. Worker would switch it on, scoop popcorn oil out of the container, using a measuring cup and pour it into the heating element. Worker would then scoop popcorn kernels out of the container, using a measuring cup and pour the kernels into he heating element. Worker would then scoop popcorn flavoring “Flavacol” from the container, using a measuring scoop and sprinkle this on the kernels. Worker would close the lid on the heating element, the popcorn would start popping, the lid would open due to the force of the popcorn, and the popped popcorn would fall into the bin. Worker would sprinkle the popcorn with additional flavoring, which would be in a shaker (like a saltshaker). Scoop the popcorn into individual popcorn boxes and place them onto the counter under a heat lamp. Another worker, when the popcorn was ordered by a patron, would take a container and then (depending upon what the patron requested) use the pumper to pump melted butter and/or shakers to sprinkle additional flavoring(s) onto the popcorn and then hand to the patron. ***Original F.a.2*** Perform a variety of duties at traveling carnival, assembling, disassembling & operating equipment (amusement rides, game and/or food concessions) May sell tickets & collect fees from customers; provide information about the facilities, rules and regulations; direct patrons to rides, seats or attractions; monitor activities to ensure adherence to rules and safety procedures; provide assistance to patrons entering or exiting amusement rides; clean rides, booths, facilities or grounds; inspect equipment to detect wear and damage and perform minor repairs, adjustments, or maintenance tasks, such as oiling parts; fasten safety devices for patrons, or provide them with directions for fastening devices; announce or describe amusement attractions to patrons to entice customers to games and/or other entertainment; and sell and serve refreshments to customers.
