Job Duties:
Temporary full-time positions in Franklin, LA with Sterling Sugars, LLC . These workers will be assigned to the Mechanic Shop (not in the sugar mill) and will report directly to the Mechanic Shop Foreman. The workers will assist skilled mechanics in making minor repairs and routine maintenance on agricultural machinery used in the hauling of sugarcane in preparation for and during harvest season (i.e., cane trailers, cane tractors, cane trucks, and cane carts). Supply mechanics with tools. Maintain hauling equipment. Assist in minor repairs such as changing tires, parts replacement, and performing brake jobs. These workers will not perform skilled mechanic work such as rebuilding an engine. These workers will not work on the state-of-the-art sugar mill equipment located within the mill used in sugarcane processing (they will work only on agricultural sugarcane hauling equipment within the mechanic shop). Overtime hours will vary. On-site lodging is offered at no charge to workers hired in this temporary position. No minimum education is required. No on-the-job training is provided. Three (3) months of employment experience in the job offered on sugarcane hauling equipment is required.

THREE (3) MONTHS EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE IN JOB OFFERED ON SUGARCANE HAULING EQUIPMENT IS REQUIRED. HIGHER PAY MAY BE AVAILABLE TO WORKERS WITH EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE.
